Nommon is a research-intensive technology company that provides decision support solutions for the transport and mobility market and other sectors where geospatial information plays a key role, such as smart cities & urban planning, retail & geomarketing, and energy & environment. Nommon’s solution portfolio includes two types of products:
- Data products: over the past decade, Nommon has been a pioneer in the application of big data and AI to population behaviour analysis. We have developed a variety of cutting-edge solutions that mine and analyse anonymised geolocation data from mobile devices and blend them with other data provided by our clients or available from public databases to provide high-quality trip matrices, footfall indicators, and other actionable information on people’s activity and mobility patterns.
- Software products: in recent years, Nommon has extended its product portfolio with different SaaS solutions that combine mobility data, predictive models and optimisation techniques to provide our clients with decision support systems that help them analyse alternative strategies and management actions in complex and uncertain environments.
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for an experienced sales and business development professional to lead our expansion in the EMEA region.
Job description
You will work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial start-up environment, along with a talented, international, multidisciplinary team. Reporting to the Business Development Director, responsibilities include:
- Identify target clients and business partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Lead the preparation of commercial tenders and research proposals, developing the main technical contents and methodological aspects and explaining the value proposition for our clients.
- Monitor sales and funding opportunities, including calls for tenders and calls for proposals.
- Monitor market trends and client expectations and contribute to the definition of innovative products, services, and business models.
- Arrange and conduct meetings and events with clients, including product demonstrations and commercial presentations.
- Attend relevant conferences, fairs and other academic and industrial events.
Qualifications and skills
Required:
- MSc in a relevant engineering field, preferably with a background in Transport Engineering.
- +3 years of experience in complex technology or consulting projects.
- Experience/knowledge in transport planning and modelling.
- Familiarity with the policy environment and key stakeholders of the transport sector.
- Outstanding technical writing skills and ability to prepare complex technical proposals.
- Ability to present to senior executive management and large audiences.
- Ability to educate clients and advise them on how to best use our solutions.
- Team orientation and ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent Spanish and English oral and written communication skills.
Nice to have, but not indispensable:
- Experience in responding to complex government tenders.
- Experience in the preparation of European research proposals.
- Experience in the preparation of proposals for multilateral organisations (e.g., World Bank).
- Experience in other sectors dealing with geospatial data, such as urban planning, tourism and geomarketing.
- Experience in data analytics projects.
Salary and benefits
- Annual salary: 35.000 – 50.000 €.
