  • Over the past decade, Nommon has been a pioneer in the application of big data and artificial intelligence to the transport and mobility industry. An ambitious research and development strategy has put Nommon at the forefront of innovation in the mobility analytics market. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a junior sales and business development engineer to execute our expansion plans across the EMEA region.

    Job description

    You will work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial start-up environment, along with a talented, international, multidisciplinary team. Reporting to Nommon’s Chief Business Development Officer, responsibilities include:

    • Contribute to the execution of Nommon’s business development plan for the EMEA region.
    • Establish market strategies and strategic partnerships to expand the business.
    • Identify target clients in both current and new geographies.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
    • Lead the preparation of tenders.
    • Prepare purchase orders and sales contracts.
    • Monitor client status and sales opportunities, including call for tenders, and keep this information updated in Nommon’s CRM system.
    • Monitor market trends and client expectations and contribute to the definition of innovative products, services, and business models.
    • Arrange and conduct meetings and events with clients, including product demonstrations and commercial presentations, with the goal of promoting Nommon’s solutions.
    • Attend relevant conferences, fairs and other academic and industrial events.

    Qualifications and skills


    • MSc in a relevant engineering field, preferably with a background in Transport Engineering and/or Transport Economics.
    • Good knowledge of concepts, principles and theories of transport planning and modelling.
    • Team orientation and ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organisation.
    • Excellent analytical skills.
    • Excellent English and Spanish oral and written communication skills.
    • Willing and able to travel across the EMEA region (during non-COVID times) as needed to achieve objectives.

    Nice to have, but not indispensable:

    • Experience in creating new business opportunities and translating them into technical and financial proposals.
    • Experience in selling complex technology or consulting projects.
    • Experience in responding to complex government tenders in the EMEA region.
    • Experience in transport planning and/or traffic management projects.
    • Experience in other sectors dealing with geospatial data, such as urban planning, tourism and geomarketing.
    • Experience in data analytics projects.
    • Good command of a third language (especially German, French, Italian, Polish, Portuguese or Arabic).

    • Annual salary: 36.000 – 48.000 €
