An ambitious research and development strategy has put Nommon at the forefront of innovation in the mobility analytics market. As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a sales and business development engineer (0-3 years of experience) to join our Business Development department in Madrid.
Job description
You will work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial start-up environment, along with a talented, international, multidisciplinary team. Reporting to Nommon’s Chief Business Development Officer, responsibilities include:
- Contribute to the execution of Nommon’s business development plan.
- Identify target clients in both current and new geographies.
- Monitor client status and sales opportunities, including calls for tenders, and keep this information updated in Nommon’s CRM system.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
- Arrange and conduct meetings and events with clients, including product demonstrations and commercial presentations.
- Prepare commercial tenders.
- Prepare purchase orders and sales contracts.
- Monitor market trends and client expectations and contribute to the definition of innovative products, services, and business models.
- Support marketing activities (preparation of marketing materials, organisation of webinars and corporate events, etc.).
- Attend relevant conferences, fairs and other academic and industrial events on demand.
Qualifications and skills
Required:
- MSc in a relevant engineering field or equivalent, preferably with a background in Transport Engineering and/or Transport Economics.
- Good knowledge of concepts, principles and theories of transport planning.
- Team orientation and ability to interface effectively with all levels of the organisation.
- Analytical mindset and ability to translate technical concepts into understandable and compelling non-technical language.
- Excellent English and Spanish oral and written communication skills.
- Willing and able to travel as needed to achieve objectives.
Nice to have, but not indispensable:
- Experience in sales and business development.
- Experience in marketing.
- Experience in responding to government tenders.
- Experience in transport planning and/or traffic management projects.
- Experience in other sectors dealing with geospatial data, such as urban planning, tourism and geomarketing.
- Experience in information technology and/or data analytics projects.
- Good command of a third language (especially German, French, Italian, Dutch, Arabic, or Portuguese).
Salary and benefits
- Annual salary: 33,000 – 42,000 €
